Go to Download page of opera and select your distribution.

Open Terminal ( Ctrl + Alt + T).

Install Opera 11.61.

raj@geeksite~/$ sudo dpkg -i /path/to/download/opera_11.6*.deb

Ubuntu:

Start Opera.

or

raj@geeksite~/$ opera

Verify the Java installed on Ubuntu.

Linux Mint:

Start Opera.

or

raj@geeksite~/$ opera

Verify the  Java installed on Linux Mint.
