Ubuntu 22.04 will be the upcoming Long Term Support release from Canonical. It is codenamed “Jammy Jellyfish” and will be supported until 2032, including Extended Security Maintenance (ESM). This release would be the 36th release since 2004.

Canonical started Ubuntu 22.04 development in October 2021 and is expected to go all the way to April 2022, which is its usual month for releasing xx.04 releases.
