TeamViewer is a most widely used application for remote control, desktop sharing, online meetings, web conferencing and file transfer between computers. This tutorial guides you how to install TeamViewer on Fedora 22 / 21 (Linux).
It also supports Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, and Android operating systems. You can access a machine running TeamViewer with a web browser, this is mainly used for remote control of computers, collaboration and presentation features are included.
Switch to root user.
$ su -
Download public key of TeamViewer.
# wget http://download.teamviewer.com/download/TeamViewer_Linux_PubKey.asc
# rpm --import TeamViewer_Linux_PubKey.asc
Install TeamViewer, use dnf instead of rpm command. dnf will help us to install packages with its dependencies.
# wget http://download.teamviewer.com/download/teamviewer.i686.rpm # dnf install teamviewer.i686.rpm
Start TeamViewer (Activities –> Search for –> TeamViewer )
If you are starting the TeamViewer for first time, accept the License agreement.
Once you Accepted, you will get the window with ID and Password.
That’s All. You have successfully installed TeamViewer on Fedora 22.
